Overview

Water chestnut is an annual aquatic herb that naturally grows in freshwater environments such as lakes, ponds. Water chestnut fruit extract is known as a rich source of antioxidants, containing approximately 13,000 mg/100 g of natural polyphenols and 8,000 mg/100 g of quercetin glycosides.
Enzymatically Modified Isoquercitrin (En-Quercetin™) is a naturally derived antioxidant ingredient with enhanced bioavailability and stability. Its functional properties have been extensively documented through multiple scientific studies.
TJE is a proprietary ingredient formulated by combining water chestnut extract with En-Quercetin™.
Preclinical animal studies suggest that TJE may help support liver function protection and alcohol metabolism, indicating its potential benefits for post-alcohol recovery.

Preclinicals

1Evaluation of Alcohol Metabolism

Blood analysis assessing alcohol metabolism over time showed that levels of alcohol, alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH), acetaldehyde, and aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) were favorably modulated in the sample-treated group. These results indicate a tendency toward more stable and/or accelerated alcohol breakdown compared to the control group.

2Liver Function and Oxidative Stress

Analysis of liver tissue revealed increased ADH and ALDH activity and reduced levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), a marker of oxidative stress, in the sample-treated group. These findings suggest enhanced alcohol metabolic efficiency and a reduction in alcohol-induced oxidative damage. Overall, the mixed formulation may help mitigate alcohol-related liver stress and support healthy liver function.
